Rugs: research
Descriptions of the contents of the tombs, including the carpet, by Mr R. D. Barnett, f.s.a., of the Department of Egyptian and Assyrian Antiquities, British Museum, appeared in the Illustrated London News in July 1953 and January 1955, together with coloured photographs.
The main colours of the carpet are reds and greenish yellow and they were said to be "gentle"—a pleasant expression with reference to a carpet.
