Latch Hook Rugs Kit
Probably the flowing lines and perfect curves of the design of the Ardebil carpet are its most striking aspect, and this seeming freedom from the formality imposed by the technique of carpet knotting is characteristic of all the best Persian rugs.
It can be achieved only when they are made with many knots to the square inch and with very skilled workmanship. The Persians revelled in such intricacy and their Garden carpets, Hunting carpets, Vase carpets (generic terms for the realistic type of design they favoured), show their supreme genius which has never been surpassed.
What could sound more enchanting than The Winter Carpet of the Spring of Chosroes? This was made for Chosroes I, who reigned over Persia from a.d. 531 to a.d. 579 and was so beloved of his people that he was called The Blessed.
The tale goes that he loved his garden above all things and had this masterpiece made so that in the winter he could enjoy spring in his palace by means of his Garden carpet.
